Dawn A. Grabowski from Sandwich, MA, USA, who listens to us on WXTK, writes...
"I enjoy your show very much. I purchased a pair of foxgloves while on the site this morning. I have a landscapers/gardeners dream of a piece of property. We have owned owned it for almost thirty years, but the widow of the original owners did nothing in it for fifteen years at least. What this did is to give me an acre and a quarter of fifteen years of natural composting, leaving the most wonderful of soil to start with. I use many of the items you mention to improve the soil when I create a new bed or rework an older bed. My worst curse is the Cape's l.pbull briar, this is a constant thorn in my side. I will continue to view your site to learn more about it and extra tips to make my property more beautiful.
Thank you,
Dawn A. Grabowski".

My wife, Diane, put in an 80+ foot perennial gardan a few years ago, and I initially complained about digging all of the holes. Now it's a joy to see the beauty of the flowers as they bloom. There's nothing better then to take a couple of glasses of wine out to the garden in the afternoon to check what coming up. - D & D of Medfield
